School Trips
Organized travel plays an integral and mandatory part of the CCI curriculum. There are a variety of day trips that are offered throughout the year and one overnight trip in each semester.
CCI students walk in the same streets, fields, and buildings as the pre-Etruscans, Pompeiians and Romans, Emperors and Popes, Raphael and Michelangelo...and in the same footsteps as resistance heroes from their own era and nations.
CCI teachers guide students on tours of major cities as students are given the option of selecting their tours by choice on overnight trips. In addition to the set trip itinerary, which in itself is very robust, and depending on the courses that students enroll in, tours by choice may include additional art exhibits, science museums, art galleries, churches, off-the-beaten-track historical sites, concerts, theatre, fashion and sporting events. These excursions are directed by student interest and are carried out by teacher-led initiatives - the tailoring of these such trips are a notable perk in a small school. Local and specialized guides are called upon for The Vatican and special museum tours as students are provided with audio pieces.
