Packing List

Preparing Your Bags for Italy

Packing for your journey to Canadian College Italy is an exciting venture, and it might be much simpler than you think! Since our students wear the school uniform most days, there is no need to overpack. Most students manage perfectly with one large suitcase, one medium suitcase, and a carry-on or backpack for personal items.

We encourage you to bring comfortable casual clothing for evenings and weekends, essential electronics, and a few personal items to make your residence room feel just like home.

A Few Quick Tips Before You Pack

  • Electronics & Voltages: High-power North American appliances (like hair dryers or flatirons) don't work well with Italy's 220V system and can be dangerous. It’s much safer and easier to purchase those small personal care items directly in Lanciano. Standard laptop and phone chargers work perfectly with just a simple plug adapter.

  • Getting Connected: We highly recommend having WhatsApp installed before you arrive, as it’s our main tool for quick updates and group communication. Once in town, our team will help you easily purchase a local Italian SIM card, which offers very affordable plans with generous data.

  • Bedding & Linens: No need to pack heavy sheets or towels, pillows, comforters, linens, and bath towels are completely provided and laundered regularly by the school.
