Closing Ceremony

Closing Ceremony & Graduation
Caps, gowns and one very big Italian celebration.
Our final evening begins beneath the gilded balconies of Teatro Fenaroli and ends by the Adriatic, around long tables and on a packed dance floor.

The final act of the school year
A formal milestone.A joyful CCI tradition.
Each June, parents, relatives and friends travel to Italy to celebrate the graduating class and the achievements of the entire school community.
There are formal addresses, student awards and diplomas, but the night is much bigger than a ceremony. It is our chance to bring everyone together, mark the year properly and send our graduates into what comes next surrounded by the people who know them well.
Teatro Fenaroli
Awards & diplomas
Sunset aperitivo
Dinner & dancing
Act one
The ceremony atTeatro Fenaroli.
The formal ceremony is typically held in Lanciano’s historic Teatro Fenaroli. Its tiers of boxes, red velvet seats and gilded details give the evening a sense of occasion before the first name is even called.
From the stage, students and staff reflect on the year. Awards recognize academic achievement, character and contribution to school life, followed by the official presentation of diplomas to the graduating class.

For every student Graduation belongs to the senior class, but the Closing Ceremony celebrates the whole school. Younger students are recognized, perform and share the stage as part of the community they have helped to shape.

Act two
Then the whole celebrationmoves to the sea.
After the ceremony, everyone travels to the coast for a formal reception, typically held at La Chiave dei Trabocchi in San Vito.
The evening opens with a sunset aperitivo and prosecco, followed by a seated dinner, yearbooks, cake and dancing. In scale and spirit, it is closer to an Italian wedding than a school reception.
The party
Big tables. Proud families. No hurry to go home.
Graduates arrive in their best clothes, families meet the friends and teachers they have heard about all year, and the formality of the theatre gives way to a warm, generous Italian celebration.
A quieter moment
The year,held in their hands.
Yearbooks are distributed during the celebration. Tables fill with students writing messages, revisiting photographs and finding the words for friendships that have shaped their time in Italy.
For graduates especially, the signing is funny and emotional. It is one of the most meaningful times of the night.

The final hours
And then the dance floortakes over.
