Allegria
Boys’ Residence · Historic Lanciano
Where history
becomes home.
A former Italian inn more than five centuries old, Allegria is now home to one of CCI’s boys’ residences.
Old stone, terracotta floors and rooms with genuine character make the setting unmistakably Italian. The boys who live here make it lively, familiar and their own.

Life inside Allegria
History you can actually live in.
Allegria offers both single and double rooms, most with private ensuite bathrooms. No two rooms feel exactly alike, a natural part of living in a building that has stood in Lanciano for more than 500 years.
The large common room gives the boys a comfortable place to study, watch a film or spend time together. Two outdoor terraces offer fresh air, views across town and another easy place to gather at the end of the day.
At the heart of daily life
The building everyone knows.
Allegria is more than a residence. The school dining room is located on the ground floor, so the wider CCI community gathers here every day for lunch and dinner.
For the boys who live upstairs, that gives the building a wonderful rhythm. Home is private when they need it to be, but never far from the energy of school life.
Growing into independence
Freedom in the right measure.
Laundry facilities and shared living spaces help students learn the ordinary routines of looking after themselves and living considerately with others.
Residence expectations and attentive dons provide structure and support, while the boys gain the confidence that comes from managing more of daily life for themselves.
