Extracurriculars

Extracurriculars
A fuller lifebeyond the classroom.
Afternoons and weekends give students time to pursue a goal, try something unfamiliar and take an active part in the CCI community.
Beyond the timetable
Choice, structureand room to grow.
Extracurricular life at CCI is broad enough for students to follow an established interest and welcoming enough for them to begin something new. The emphasis is on participation, steady progress and learning alongside others.
Some activities develop physical confidence. Others centre on creativity, practical skills, leadership or service. Together, they help students build a life at school that is balanced, social and genuinely their own.
A purposeful framework
The Duke of Edinburgh’sInternational Award.
The International Award provides the backbone of CCI’s extracurricular programme. Students choose personal goals, commit to them over time and take responsibility for their own progress, with guidance from the school.
It is deliberately personal. A student may deepen an existing strength, discover a new interest or choose a challenge that builds confidence in an area that has not always come easily.

Cultural Program
Culture,practised.
Cucina and Sartoria offer two practical ways to engage with Italian life: through the food students prepare and share, and through the traditions of tailoring, fit and personal presentation.
Food, history & wellbeing
Cucina
Chef-led sessions connect Italian ingredients and traditions with practical skills, nutrition and the experience of cooking together.
Craft, identity & presentation
Sartoria
Students explore fit, craftsmanship and personal style as thoughtful forms of confidence, self-expression and cultural understanding.
The landscape changes the programme
From mountain daysto the Adriatic.
Lanciano’s position between the mountains and the sea gives extracurricular life a seasonal rhythm. Depending on conditions and availability, students may ski or hike in the Apennines, or sail, scuba dive and take part in water sports along the Adriatic coast.
Closer to school, local pools, courts, pitches and specialist facilities support regular activities throughout the year.
Time together matters
Not every good momentneeds to be measured.
Alongside formal goals, students make time for informal games, tournaments, creative projects and student-led events. These ordinary shared experiences are an important part of finding friends and feeling at home.
