Monday begins and it finally starts to become real, we only have two weeks left. It feels like yesterday we just arrived at the Torri on the bus and unpacked our things. A part of me is sad for this incredible experience to come to an end, another part is excited to go home and be able to say “I lived in Italy”.
By the third week I am now very familiar with the town. I've made friends with some of the locals including a cafe owner named Emilio. These last three weeks have felt like a sleepover every night. It's unbelievable that I met these people 23 days ago and they all feel like best friends.
This week's morning announcements were a little bit sad as Mr.Stephens was talking about packing up and heading home. It's Friday now and we’re wrapping up our final days of school and preparing to say goodbye to all the incredible staff and students who we have spent the last three weeks getting to know all of us.
As we head into our very last weekend I'm overjoyed to say I've had an unforgettable experience here in Lanciano and I will bring these stories, and memories with me for years to come.
