Ciao from beautiful Italy! I am a student in the summer school program in Italy, and I am excited to share all my unique and unforgettable experiences so far with you!
First and foremost, let me tell you that Italy has stolen my heart. The vibrant culture, the delicious food, and the breathtaking scenery have left me in awe. Exploring the streets of Lanciano and wandering through the ancient walkways has been a dream come true.
But what made my experience astonishing was the fantastic group of students and staff I've had the pleasure of meeting. When I stepped foot in the classroom, I was greeted with warmth, smiles, and friendly faces. The sense of community and camaraderie amongst us is extraordinary. We come from different parts of Canada (and other countries), but here in Italy, we have formed bonds that will last a lifetime.
The classroom environment is just as welcoming as the town itself. The teachers are passionate and dedicated and go above and beyond to ensure we are engaged and learning. Each day is filled with fun and excitement, from interactive lessons to group discussions. I have learned so much already, and I can’t wait to see what else is in store for us!
Outside of the classroom, we have had the opportunity to explore Italy's enchanting cities and towns. Whether we marvel at the beautiful waters of San Vito, soak up the sun in Ortona, or indulge in gelato in Lanciano, each day is a new adventure. The memories we are creating together are priceless, and I am grateful for every moment!
As the program is just starting to unfold, I find myself thinking about all of the wonderful experiences we are going to have—the friendships I will make, the places we will see, and the knowledge I will gain that will stay with me forever. Italy has captured my heart and soul, and I am already counting the days until my inevitable return.
To all the future students considering the Summer School Program in Italy, I highly recommend it! You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in Italy's rich culture and history and make lifelong friendships and memories. Trust me, it is an experience you want to experience!
