Lanciano is located near to the Apennine mountain range, which is perfect for all sorts of outdoor activities. In the winter, that means skiing and snowboarding.
In Italy, it has been a very warm and dry winter, but that didn’t stop our students and teachers from getting up early and hitting the slopes of Roccaraso.
Weather wise, the first of the two outings proved to be the better day with sunny skies and most of the runs being open.
On our second trip, rain clouds moved in before noon. Still, the group made the most of it.
We were rewarded at the end of the day with a spectacular rainbow.
Thank you to all of the teachers who helped supervise the outings, and to everyone who shared their photos with me. Let’s hope for more snow in the near future!
