Ski and Snowboard Club

Ms. Marinilli took the Ski and Snowboard Club to Roccaraso this past Sunday. This winter has been one of the warmest and driest that Abruzzo has seen, but with snowfall in the mountains on Friday and Saturday night, it was hard to resist.

As the group got closer to the mountain the scenery began to change from olive groves and vineyards to snow covered pines. 

 

 

 

The weather at the top ended up being lovely as you can see from these photos with the sun shining down on our skiers and snowboarders.

 

 

 

 

 

 

We’re not sure if we will have more outings after March Break. If we’re lucky, the mountain will get more snow and we will have to return.
