May 1st
As with many countries, May 1st is Labor Day in Italy and is celebrated as a national holiday. For CCI, we spent most of the day along the Adriatic. We first arrived in Fossacesia and took turns going up and down the coast on a boat we had rented.
Afterward we were treated to a wonderful lunch organized and prepared by Mr. C at his in-laws' country home. We had two kinds of lasagna, barbequed sausages, and fresh strawberries from the garden. It was definitely the highlight of the day. Thank you Mr. C!
We later arrived in San Vito in time to catch some rays, eat a gelato, and relax. Not a bad way to start the week!
