Monday, December 13, 2021: Good-bye CCI

 By Loreta Gonzalez

My time at CCI is something I will remember for the rest of my life. I met so many amazing people and got to explore Italy and everything it has to offer with them. The friends I made here are some of the nicest, most honest, loyal, and caring people I have ever met. I am sad to say that my time at CCI was cut short, but I am so thankful I got to experience Italy with the friends I made here. I also love Lanciano. It is a typical small Italian town full of kind-hearted people. I will definitely miss walking around the town after school and during the weekend, but as Geoffrey Chaucer said "All good things must come to an end". I will never forget my experience at CCI or living in Italy because it truly opened my eyes and helped me notice all of the different customs and traditions that Italians have. One of my favourite memories from my time here was our trip to Florence. I had so much fun because the restaurants were great, all of the views were truly incredible and breathtaking, and because I was with my friends. It felt like since we all knew most of us were here for only one year we became friends faster and built stronger relationships with each other very quickly because we knew deep inside that we didn’t have that much time together. I will miss you all. Take care everyone.
