Gargano

 

Gargano is a beautiful area within the region of Puglia. Some call it the “spur” on the Italian boot, while others call it the “pom pom” on the sock that fits into the boot. Either way, it’s a nice spot!

Perhaps the most well known town in Gargano is Vieste, which is only 200 km south of Lanciano. We arrived there on Friday morning where we hopped on a boat to tour the coast. The shores of Gargano are bleached white and have impressive rock formations and caves.
