Florence, Part 1
We arrived in Florence just after lunch. After a quick check-in at our hotel, we headed to the centre of town. Passing the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria, we arrived at the Uffizi galleries.
The Uffizi galleries hold the artwork collected by the Medici family over centuries, and house the most important pieces of the Renaissance. We saw works by Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, and of course, Botticelli.
We then returned to our hotel to freshen up and share a meal together before an optional walking tour of the city at night.
