Caserta, Pompeii, Sorrento, Amalfi
On the 18th and 19th of October CCI visited the Mediterranean coast. Our first stop was the Caserta Palace where we were guided on a tour. We then had free time to explore the gardens.
From there, we headed to Pompeii, which was destroyed in 79 AD with the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
We stayed in Sorrento that evening. On Saturday we boarded two small buses that took us along the windy coastal road. We made a couple of stops to take photos before arriving in Amalfi for lunch. We headed back to Lanciano after few hours and arrived safe and sound by 9:00.
