Bocca di Valle
When thinking of Italian landscapes, rolling hills of olive orchards and vineyards come to mind. Those traveling to Italy for the first time may be surprised by the rugged mountains. Where we are located in Abruzzo, these mountains are the Dolomites.
On Saturday, we traveled to the little town of Bocca di Valle for a hike. We filled our water bottles at the base of the trail with fresh mountain spring water.
Our Italian teacher, Mr. Budani, gave information about the hike and the beauty of these trails.
This particular hike takes approximately an hour to reach the end of the trail. The views are well worth it.
After some steep climbs, we made it! Cascata di San Giovanni!
Only the bravest students jumped under this freezing waterfall to cool off.
