Benvenuti!

Benvenuti!

Benvenuti a tutti! Welcome everyone!

Here we are in our 22nd year, and these past days have been a blast! We've been very busy lately with students arriving on Saturday, followed by orientation activities, then classes this afternoon.

Mrs. D’Alessandro and I were truly pleased to meet with all of the families who came to Lanciano with their sons and daughters on Saturday. For those of you who we have yet to meet, we hope to see you soon. It’s always a great experience to get to know new families and reconnect with those of which we’re already acquainted.

For those of you new to this blog, it is designed to keep you up-to-date on the many adventures our students will be sharing this year. I will do my best to publish a new post every couple of weeks in an effort to record this unique journey. You’ll be notified of new posts via our Facebook page. You’re also invited to follow us on Instagram and Twitter for more frequent day-to-day activities.

Below, are a series of photos from our first day of orientation. On Sunday, we went to nearby Ortona to play some ice-breaking games on the beach. It had originally called for thunderstorms, so we were happy to wake up to sunny skies.

After a game of charades, pass-the-sponge, and our annual tug-o-war, the students had time for swimming, sunbathing, and getting to know each other better.

We returned to Lanciano in time for dinner at the Allegria (this is our restaurant, attached to girls’ residence, where we have our dinners each night). A typical meal consists of fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, meats, cheeses, and of course pasta!

I wish to thank our wonderful teachers, dons, and office staff, for doing such a great job in welcoming our students. And a special thank-you to all of the parents who have entrusted us with the well-being and development of their sons and daughters.

A presto!
