April 20, 1944 - April 20, 2013

At the invitation of Lanciano's Mayor, Dott. Mario Pupillo, CCI students and faculty participated in a ceremony today commemorating a dark day in Lanciano's WWII history.

On April 20, 1944 citizens and liberating soldiers from Canada, New Zealand and other commonwealth countries were killed in a bombardment in the very piazza in which we stood.

Also attending the ceremony, was Colonel Antonio Battista and his wife Linda, who were guests of honour at our November Remembrance Day Service as well as Mr. Trevor Matheson, the Ambassador from New Zealand and his wife.

Following the ceremony, our students conducted tours of the school for the dignitaries and other guests.

Our students did CCI proud.
