Canadian College ItalyCanada's Top High School in Italy

Campus

Unlike many boarding school campuses, Canadian College Italy's campus is actually situated within a town: the historical centre of Lanciano. Nestled within the panoramic beauty of the mountains of Abruzzo, and a the scenic seashores of the Adriatic Coast, this historic setting provides a unique back-drop for learning and living.

The School building is a 14th century stone and brick palazzo which is located on Via Cavour, a tiny vico up a steep flight of stairs adjacent to the main piazza Plebiscito. Originally used as a magnificent residence for one of the town's aristocratic families in the 1300's, the School building was later used as the Canadian Headquarters for troops during the Second World War. With a central Atrium that allows for an abundance of natural light and serves as a focal point for classrooms, the School building is an ideal structure for the majority of classroom learning. In addition to the classrooms, the School also has various study spaces, an Art room, a Science lab and a library/study room. Breakfast is served in the main kitchen/common area of the building on the main floor and on weekdays.

The girls are housed in our Cuore residence on the grounds of a former convent.

CCI boys live in two unique residences in the historic centre: Allegria: a charming 525 year- old inn where the students also enjoy their dinners in the main floor dining hall; and Palazzo de Giorgio, or just De Giorgio: a historic landmark in Lanciano, highly recognizable for its pink facade and its Art Nouveau style.
